Are we DEAD yet? APOCALYPSE NEVER

Still alive...
and waiting for something to happen

Allison Morris introduced me to the AWESOME graphic below illustrating some of the BiG APOCALYPTiC PREDiCTiONS that obviously did NOT happen, but were widely believed to be the real END.

Now, I have to admit, I am one of those people that's always slightly disappointed when absolutely nothing happens...even though if something were to happen, it would mean we'd all be dead. Love, Love, Love hearing about all the "believers" that go hiding in the caves, awaiting the END.

Have you noticed how many times the End of The World is predicted to happen in our lifetime??? With Y2K, I think EVERYONE thought the world would go black, but not even a flicker of lights! I'm gonna be 76 years old when the next apocalypse hits, unless someone predicts one sooner. In the meantime, I suggest if you are dying for something apocalyptic, read the Apocalypse Babes series by Bella Street. Everyone loves a dystopian right? Throw some ZOMBiES in there and magic happens.

"It's not like it's the end of the world."

Book 1, The Z Word is currently FREE!

The entire series is perfection, I strongly recommend reading Apocalypse Babes: The Complete Series (6 books).

  1. Awesome post..it's amazing how many near death situations the Doctor saved us from (sorry I am a whovian and that may be lost on you..Doctor Who) I love dystopian and apocalyptic reads and found this interesting. I am sharing a link to it on my Sunday Post this week.

  3. Great post! I am kind of tired of this whole "Apocalypse" hysteria. I mean, everyone dies, right? Why bother thinking "OMG, I'm gonna die" and do nothing but freak out, when I can just live my life and be happy about it. I'm actually a little mean and laugh every time I think of those people who made provisions and spent lots of money on weapons and stuff for the Mayan Apocalypse. I wonder what they're doing now *giggles*

I've heard so much about Doctor Who. I plan to watch it soon.

    2. Thanks Ruby :)
The "Believers" are probably waiting for the next one. i find it all very entertaining. I'd love to be a fly on that wall. I'm sure it'll happen one day, but i'm doubtful it will be something that can be predicted.

But, I'm seriously waiting for the ALiENS to land. That day will be AWESOME! I've been waiting on that one for a long time, cuz I know they're out there...

    3. Yes, aliens sound much more reasonable.I'm sure they're not green, though. I'm waiting for vampires and werewolves and the likes to come out. That would be very cool :D

    4. O my freaking goodness, I'd die! If they're closer to the human side and can interact with us without trying to eat or kill us, i'd love it...not so much if we are strictly FOOD.

    5. Hmm....I'd be food for Lestat. I think I'd accept that. Not for him to kill me. Just like a snack now and then. :D But yes, I'd be a very happy girl if the vamps and weres would invade us. Then there are angels and fallen angels and some wizards and other creatures... *le sigh*

  5. Have you read Mercury Falls? There's a lot about un-apocalyptic Apocalypses, and it's really funny :)
